Scottish Government launches Clyde Herring Total Allowable Catch (TAC) Consultation

Marine Scotland has launched a Clyde Herring Consultation on behalf of the UK Fisheries Administrations, to seek views on the level of the 2022 TAC, to permit the allocation of Clyde herring quota to UK fishermen. The Consultation is asking respondents if a ‘rollover’ TAC of 583 Tonnes should be set or a more precautionary 466 Tonnes (a 20% reduction).

Stakeholders can view the Consultation documents here Supporting documents – Herring in the Firth of Clyde – setting the total allowable catch for 2022: consultation – gov.scot (www.gov.scot)

The Consultation closes Wednesday, 3rd August.
